In this episode, we dive into the woods called “I split the party!” and see what other denizens lurk in the shadows. What does splitting the party means for you, the other players and the gamemaster; and is there ever a good time to split the party?

I will use a recapitulated narrative to describe a roleplaying scene from one of the D&D campaigns where I am a player. Then I will examine this scene on what went well and what changes I can make to improve the roleplaying experience for everyone at the table.

The campaign setting is Eberron from WoTC. We are using the D&D 5E ruleset, and we game using the Fantasy Grounds virtual tabletop.
